Building reports with Copilot in Power BI

Copilot for Power BI brings AI-driven support to report building and data analysis. Once enabled in Microsoft Fabric, it can be accessed in Power BI Desktop to help refine data models, generate report pages, create narrative visuals, and summarize reports—all through natural language prompts for a more intuitive experience.

Working with Copilot prompts

Copilot in Fabric and Power BI provides smart, AI-driven tools to simplify data analysis and reporting. It assists with writing and explaining DAX queries, creating narrative visuals, enhancing Q&A, and generating measure descriptions. Users can also explore preview features and build custom Copilot solutions to support their teams.
